Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is challenging and inspiring Nashville residents to be more physically active. Thousands of Nashvillians “stepped up to the challenge” in each of the last two years, including more than 5,000 in each of the first two years, by participating in the Mayor’s Challenge 5K Walk/Run and Kids' Fun Run - the city’s only free 5K event with a free six-week training program offered through Metro Parks & Recreation. As one of Mayor Dean’s most popular health events to date, the Mayor’s Challenge 5K brings out Nashvillians of all ages and fitness levels to walk and run the streets of downtown Nashville. The event also includes a Kids’ Fun Run, a 0.75-mile course for children 12 years of age and under.
I love Mayor Karl Dean. He has had a major impact on Nashville in so many ways. Mayor Karl Dean is also a big supporter of GOTR, he always starts off our Spring 5K! Join my team and run or walk this FREE event!!
